Does anyone know what this tree is? I love it!!! It's about 8ft tall, just beautiful.  anyway this blog isn't about trees is it!

Chest of Drawers made over the last few days, didn't like the handles that came in the kit (I can't seem to do them) so bought these.  the books on top I made aswell - far from perfect and need to be 'resized' which I'll do tomorrow when there is more light.

A tiny wallet, made out of a box from some aftershave that looked like leather.  LOL

Some painting.  The room is going to be the master bedroom.  No idea what kind of carpet will go in there yet!  The colours don't show 'as they are' due to it being dark, but you get the general idea yes? I don't have a steady hand.. it shows.. but I will perfect it in time :)

My choice of curtains for the master bedroom.  The bed is black. should look nice I hope!  I WILL finish painting the window!

A little bit of shopping..

Got to love the local hardware store.  I was looking around for anything useful (nothing in particular) and up in the back corner found a table covered in little pots of paint that looked like they were being discarded.. Sample pots!! Woohoo!! Only bought 4, but so useful, and now I know where they are I can always go back for more.  I just bought plain interior paint for now but wouldn't mind some of their other ones with special effects.. they were a bit more expensive.  Next shop!

Oh lol - got some mini tools from ebay too :) Check out the feather!!

Another project

Ebay is a very dangerous place! Not satisfied to only own one home.. and a smaller building not yet started.. had to go shopping.  Today I picked up a renovation job too.  I have firm plans for this home and can't wait to get started! Still.. I mustn't neglect the one already in progress and MUST get a start on the 'Lisa's cottage' project too!

Anyway here's my purchase!

I also went to a local op shop the other day - always drop in for a look for materials and nick nacks that could be useful and found a scarf that will be perfect for curtains for one of my rooms in the other house - $1!

Anyway.. this is not what my blog is about is it.. onward......

I've been wanting to deal with my wheelie bin for a while, and had some coasters (see earlier posts) I needed a use for.  But I had this little idea in mind, and it didn't dawn on me till today that I could use them for this project.. I pulled them apart... and...

Made a little trellis.....

Anyway, I put this together for the trellis and fern.. and built the planter -  and grubbed up the wheelie bin, and burnt the chipped off bit (my wheelie bin is actually burnt,so figured it might be a good idea to soften a sharp edge)

 To fill the planter, I used (omg lol?) some air drying clay so the trellis would set in it.. then covered it in glue and added from my front garden some ultra fine pine bark.  I'm pretty happy with the end result, it is what I had pictured in my mind :))

It was SO refreshing to be able to actually do something for ME instead of the family for a day!  I hope to have many more days like this.. chores were left undone.. who cares! :P

Oh dear :(

Things don't always go as planned.  I took some rec leave from work and busied myself 'de-hoarding', and relaxing.. and didn't get ANYTHING done on my mini project.  Well.. this weekend I hope to achieve something - even if it's just ONE tiny thing I get completed.  Not sure what yet...

 I got a new position at work, so am dead tired, I now start work at 4am which means a divided sleep - the new job is very physical and if I don't 'keep moving' it will ruin this old body completely LOL - my aim now is to keep up the physical work over the weekend so I don't seize up!

Dead tired tonight and it's only 7pm - will get a good night's sleep and hope that tomorrow, I can do things *I* want to do instead of what I have to do... a day for me..  *fingers crossed*
